Muse - Resistance
After listening through the twentieth The new Muse disk as I want-Muse-seasoned non-fanboy Yakkyakk give my opinion. Is nice. An interesting mix of classical music, the usual electro-pop-rock sound with queenesquen moments. Bellamy is as usual in the best Howl-mood - so I will not say that I think that's stupid. Quite the contrary. Bellamy is one purely of his vocal qualities such as Muse Gahan of Depeche Mode or Hewson of U2. These voices make the music unique and no matter where I stand - whether at the Nuremberg Volksfest or the Empire State Building - I recognize them immediately.
Although my "whining" in "I belong to you" too much reeks of apparently self-mocking Heartache. No, I can do without it. But the "Exogenesis" trilogy is very successful. The classically quiet moments are accumulated with faster pop-deposits, and Matthew adds to the whole predictable, but pretty sound. Beautiful. As is the way, also called "United States of Eurasia." What is missing is me such spontaneous "God I love that song" are moments. This included for me so far Kracher as "Stockholm Syndrome" "Time is running out" and "Map of the Problematique". If I have forgotten an essential classic, so forgive - I know of only three Muse albums. But I think, "Resistance" Pops has good potential. At least I am happy when I hear it.
PS: la la la la la lala
